Ricky Staub, founder Neighborhood Film Company, meets a black cowboy outside his office in North Philly. Shortly after, he learns about Greg Neri’s 2009 novel, Ghetto Cowboy.
Immediately taken in by the story, Ricky files away the idea of a film adaptation of Ghetto Cowboy for a potential future project.
